OUR PHILOSOPHY
We built The Skin Beneath for skin that has lived. Skin in its thirties, forties, and beyond. Our formulas draw from Ayurvedic botanicals with documented therapeutic value and modern actives with clinical evidence, layered together so that three products do what a ten-step routine cannot. Every formula starts with how it feels on the skin, because a product you look forward to using is a product that actually works over time. This is barrier-first skincare, designed for Indian skin, built for the long term.
OUR BRAND BELIEF
Healing over Hiding
Skin Resilience over Skin Correction
Deep Repair over Surface Fixes
Ritual over Routine
Lived-in Skin over Skin Ideals

The Founder
My skin changed in my thirties. PCOS, hormonal shifts, a barrier that had been quietly compromised by years of products that promised visible results in days. I was dealing with dryness that no moisturiser resolved, pigmentation that worsened with every “brightening” serum I tried, and the slow realisation that most of what the industry was selling me had not been designed for skin like mine. Not for Indian skin. Not for skin that was ageing, reactive, and melanin-rich all at once.
I had spent twenty-two years in the lingerie industry, building products for real bodies. Not aspirational ones. That work taught me what it means to design for how people actually live, not how a campaign imagines they do. So when I went looking for skincare that held the same standard, and could not find it, the gap felt personal.
I trained as a formulator at forty-one because I needed to understand what was going on at the level of the ingredient, the interaction, the barrier. Not to work alone in a lab, but to be able to sit across from a chemist and know when something was
good enough and when it was not.
From there, I worked with lab partners and spent two years building, testing, and removing. I studied how Ayurvedic botanicals with centuries of documented use could work alongside modern clinical actives, not as a marketing story, but as a formulation principle. We took out ingredients that passed on paper but felt
wrong on the skin. We adjusted concentrations until the texture was something you would actually look forward to putting on your face, morning and evening. I wanted each product to feel like a quiet moment you chose for yourself, not
another step in a routine you were told to follow.
The Skin Beneath exists because I could not find what I needed, and because I had spent
long enough in product development to know that the problem was not my skin. It
was what was being made for it.
If your skin has lived a little, if it has been through hormonal shifts or sun damage or too many products that did not deliver, these formulas were built with that skin in
mind. Not to fix it. To meet it where it is.
