OUR PHILOSOPHY
We built The Skin Beneath for skin that has lived. Skin in its thirties, forties, and beyond. Our formulas draw from Ayurvedic botanicals with documented therapeutic value and modern actives with clinical evidence, layered together so that three products do what a ten-step routine cannot. Every formula starts with how it feels on the skin, because a product you look forward to using is a product that actually works over time. This is barrier-first skincare, designed for Indian skin, built for the long term.
OUR BRAND BELIEF
Healing over Hiding
Skin Resilience over Skin Correction
Deep Repair over Surface Fixes
Ritual over Routine
Lived-in Skin over Skin Ideals

The Founder
I spent twenty-two years in the lingerie industry, building products for real bodies. Not runway bodies, not aspirational bodies. Bodies that moved, changed, carried weight differently on different days. That work taught me something that stayed with me long after I left the industry: when you design for real conditions, not ideal ones, the product earns its place.
When my own skin changed in my thirties, I went looking for skincare that held the same standard. I was dealing with PCOS, hormonal shifts, and a barrier that had been compromised by years of using products that promised visible results in days. I wanted something evidence-backed, designed for real skin conditions, and honest about what it could and could not do. I could not find it.
So I trained as a formulator. I studied cosmetic chemistry and Ayurvedic botanicals not as opposing traditions but as complementary ones. I worked with ingredients that have documented therapeutic value because they earned their place, not because they were fashionable. And I built formulas where three products could do what a ten-step routine could not, because I had learned from my own skin that more steps do not mean more repair.
I built The Skin Beneath alone. Not because I had to, but because the decisions that matter most in formulation are the ones you make when no one is watching: whether to use a cheaper emulsifier, whether to skip the third round of stability testing, whether to adjust a formula because it feels slightly off on the skin even though it passes on paper. Those decisions needed to belong to someone who would use the product herself.
Outside the lab, I am a published poet, a dancer, and a photographer. I started this company at forty-six, which is not the age most people associate with a first-time founder. But it is exactly the right age to build skincare for skin that has lived, because I am building it from experience, not theory.
